Effect of Acupuncture Therapy on Pain Degree,Lumbar Function and Quality of Life in Patients with Kidney Deficiency and Blood Stasis Type Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To explore the clinical effect of acupuncture therapy on kidney deficiency and blood stasis type lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 86 kidney deficiency and blood stasis type LDH patients admitted to Jiaozhou Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University from May 2021 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 43 cases in each group.The control group was treated with Duhuo Jisheng decoction,and the observation group was treated with acupuncture therapy on the basis of the control group,both groups were treated for 4 weeks.The clinical efficacy,pain degree,lumbar function,quality of life and occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.35%,which was higher than 81.40%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the Visual Analogue Scale score of pain in the observation group was lower than that in the control group,and the Japanese Orthopaedic Association assesses treatment score was higher than that in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the scores of all fields of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-Brief Version in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Acupuncture therapy can improve the therapeutic effect of kidney deficiency and blood stasis type LDH patients,accelerate the disappearance of pain,reduce the limitation of daily activities,improve the quality of life,and is safe and reliable.
