Observation on the Effect of Acupoint Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Patients with Nausea and Vomiting Caused by Breast Cancer Chemotherapy
Objective To investigate the effect of acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine in patients with nausea and vomiting caused by breast cancer chemotherapy.Methods Eighty patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy in Longhua Hospital,Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from April 2022 to April 2023 were selected as the research objects,and they were divided into a control group and an intervention group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was given routine nursing,and the intervention group was given acupoint application of traditional Chinese medicine intervention on the basis of the control group.The incidence of nausea and vomiting,psychological state,quality of life and completion of fall course chemotherapy were compared between the two groups.Results On the 14th and 21st day of intervention,the incidence of chemotherapy related nausea and vomiting in the intervention group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 21 days of intervention,the Self Rating Anxiety Scale score of the intervention group was(43.47±4.22)points,which was lower than(53.75±4.55)points of the control group,and the Life Function Scale score was(105.28±5.32)points,which was higher than(90.52±4.50)points of the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The completion rate of full course chemotherapy in the intervention group was 85.00%,which was higher than 62.50%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The effect of acupoint application of treaditional Chinese medicine in breast cancer patients with nausea and vomiting caused by chemotherapy is significant,which can effectively reduce the incidence of patients with chemotherapy-related nausea and vomiting,improve the psychological state of patients,improve the quality of life of patients,and promote the completion of fall course chemotherapy,which is worthy of promotion.
