Observation of the Therapeutic Effect of Early Plaster Cast External Fixation Combined with Manual Reduction and External Fixation of Cedar Bark Leather Plate in Elderly Patients with Distal Radius Fractures
Objective To analyze the effect of early plaster cast external fixation combined with manual reduction and external fixation of cedar bark leather plate in elderly patients with distal radius fractures.Methods A total of 68 elderly patients with distal radius fractures admitted to Jiangsu Subei People's Hospital from January 2023 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects.According to the random number table method,they were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 34 cases in each group.The control group was treated with manual reduction and external fixation of cedar bark leather plate,and the observation group was treated with early plaster cast external fixation combined with manual reduction and external fixation of cedar bark leather plate.The excellent and good rate of wrist joint function,pain degree,wrist joint function and wrist joint activity were compared between the two groups.Results The excellent and good rate of wrist joint function in the observation group was 94.12%,which was higher than 70.59%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of treatment,the Visual Analogue Scale of pain in the observation group was(1.29±0.27)points,which was lower than(2.13±0.56)points in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 12 weeks of treatment,Gartland-Werley score was(7.85±1.62)points,which was lower than(10.84±2.03)points of the control group,the ulnar deviation Angle was(16.32±3.35)°,and the palm inclination Angle was(9.89±1.56)°,they were greater than(13.19±3.12)°,(7.43±1.35)° in the control group,the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the palmar flexion,dorsal extension and supination of wrist joint in the observation group were greater than those in the control group,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Early plaster cast external fixation combined with manual reduction and external fixation of cedar bark leather plate has a significant effect in the treatment of elderly patients with distal radius fractures,which can improve the recovery quality of wrist joint function and reduce pain.
