Observation on the Application Effect of Closed Reduction and Interlocking Intramedullary Nail Internal Fixation in the Treatment of Tibiofibular Fracture Patients
Objective To explore the application effect of closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nail internal fixation in tibiofibular fractures. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with tibiofibular fractures admitted to The Third Division Hospital of the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps from January 2021 to October 2023 were retrospectively analyzed.According to different surgical methods, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with open reduction and plate-screw internal fixation, while the observation group was treated with closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nail internal fixation.Compare the clinical efficacy, surgical conditions, ankle joint function and occurrence of complications between the two groups. Results Before the operation, the scores of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society were compared between the two groups, and the difference was no statistically significant(P>0.05);the total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than 80.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was less than that in the control group.the operation time, the length of hospital stay, the time of callus formation and the fracture healing time in the observation group were all shorter than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);six months after the operation, the score of the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the incidence of complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of tibiofibular fractures with closed reduction and interlocking intramedullary nail internal fixation has a better effect. It can shorten the fracture healing time, accelerate the recovery of ankle joint function, and has fewer complications.
