Effect of Epalrestat Combined with Conbercept on Retinal Hemodynamics and Visual Acuity in Patients with Diabetic Retinopathy
Objective To investigate the effects of epalrestat combined with conbercept on retinal hemodynamics and visual acuity in patients with diabetic retinopathy.Methods Ninety-eight patients with diabetic retinopathy admitted to the Fourth People's Hospital of Jiangyou City from May 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 49 cases in each group.The control group was treated with conbercept,and the observation group was treated with epalrestat on the basis of the control group,both groups received 1 course of treatment.The clinical efficacy,retinal hemodynamics indicators,visual acuity,retinal injury and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.96%,which was higher than 85.71%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the peak systolic flow velocity and end-diastolic blood flow velocity of central retinal artery and central retinal vein in observation group were faster than those in control group,and the arterial resistance index was lower than that in control group,and the difference between the groups were statistical significance(P<0.05);the area of retinal leakage and non-perfusion area of capillary in the observation group were smaller than those in the control group,and the difference between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);at 1,3 and 6 months after treatment,the visual acuity of observation group were higher than those of control group,and the difference between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion The treatment of diabetic retinopathy with epalrestat combined with conbercept can improve the retinal hemodynamics indicators of patients,improve visual acuity,and alleviate retinal damage.The clinical efficacy is good,and the safety is high,and it is worthy of application.
