Efficacy and Safety of Memantine Hydrochloride Combined with Olanzapine in the Treatment of Alzheimer's Disease with Psychobehavioral Symptoms
Objective To investigate the effect of memantine hydrochloride combined with olanzapine in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease with psychobehavioral symptoms.Methods Sixty patients with Alzheimer's disease with mental and behavioral symptoms admitted to Beijing Shijingshan Hospital from February 2020 to February 2024 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group by random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with memantine hydrochloride,and the observation group was treated with olanzapine on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,cognitive function,ability to perform activities of daily living and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than 73.33%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the scores of Mini-Mental State Examination and Activities of Daily Living scale in the observation group were higher than those of the control group,and the scores of the Geriatref Delirium Check List was lower than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Memantine hydrochloride combined with olanzapine can alleviate psychobehavioral symptoms in Alzheimer's disease patients with psychobehavioral symptoms,and the safety is better.
