Influence of Unilateral Approach Bilateral Spinal Canal Decompression Under Spinal Endoscopy on Lumbar Function and Inflammatory Factor in Patients with Lumbar Spinal Stenosis
Objective Analyze the influence of unilateral approach bilateral spinal canal decompression under spinal endoscopy on patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the clinical data of 80 patients with lumbar spinal stenosis admitted to Huaian Eighty-Two Hospital from April 2022 to April 2024,according to different surgical methods, they were divided into a control group and an observation group, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with bilateral decompression through small incisions adjacent to bilateral spinous processes, and the observation group was treated with bilateral spinal canal decompression through unilateral approach under spinal endoscopy. The surgical indicators, pain degree, lumbar function, inflammatory factors, and occurrence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results In the observation group, the intraoperative blood loss was less than that in the control group, and the operation time and hospital stay were shorter than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Before the operation, the pain degree, lumbar function and inflammatory factors of the two groups were compared, and the differences between the groups were no statistically significant(P>0.05);three months after operation, the Visual Analogue Scale score of pain and the Oswestry Disability Index score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);three days after operation, the levels of interleukin-6,C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The complication rate of the observation group was 5.00%,which was lower than 20.00%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Unilateral approach bilateral spinal canal decompression under spinal endoscopy has the advantages of less trauma and fewer complications. It can reduce the pain degree of patients with lumbar spinal stenosis, improve lumbar function, and cause relatively mild inflammatory reactions.
