Clinical Effect of Calcium Hydroxide Paste Filling Combined with Open Pulp Decompression and Drainage in the Treatment of Pulpitis
Objective To analyze the effect of calcium hydroxide paste filling with decompression and drainage on patients with pulpitis. Methods A total of 60 pulpitis patients admitted to Caoxian People's Hospital from December 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into a control group and an observation group, with 30 cases in each group. All patients underwent open pulp decompression and drainage, the control group was filled with zinc oxide eugenol pententine and the observation group with calcium hydroxide.Comparing the clinical efficacy, pain level, oral health, and inflammatory factor levels between the two groups. Results The overall response rate of the observation group was 93.33%,which was higher than 73.33%in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the visual analog pain score of the observation group was(1.21±0.27)points,gingival index was(0.42±0.06)points,plaque index was(0.48±0.11),interleukin-6 was(30.20±2.59)pg/mL,and C-reactive protein was(7.35±0.89)mg/L,which were lower than(1.96±0.35)points,(0.63±0.18)points,(0.75±0.19)points,(35.71±3.25)pg/mL,and(9.61±1.21)mg/L in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Calcium hydroxide paste filling with open pulp decompression and drainage can reduce pain, improve oral health and reduce inflammation in pulpitis patients.
