Effects of Sensory Integration Training Combined with Multisensory Training on Language Ability in Children with Language Retardation
Objective To explore the effects of sensory integration training combined with multisensory training on language ability of children with language retardation. Methods Ninety-two children with language retardation who were treated in Binzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2022 to December 2023 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 46 cases in each group. The control group received conventional language training, and the observation group received sensory integration training combined with multisensory training on the basis of control group. The language ability, sensory integration and neurobehavioral development of the two groups were compared after 3 months of training. Results After training, the development quotient score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the scores of learning ability, somatosensory impairment and overdefense were higher than those of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the Gesell Developmental Schedules was(68.46±2.95)points,which was higher than(61.88±2.18)points of control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Sensory integration training combined with multisensory training can effectively improve the sensory integration and neurobehavioral development of children with language retardation, and enhance their language ability.
