Effect of Biaoben Matching Acupoints Acupuncture Combined with Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation in the Treatment of Post-Stroke Dysphagia
Objective To investigate the effect of Biaoben Matching Acupoints acupuncture combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation on dysphagia after stroke. Methods A total of 72 patients with dysphagia after stroke admitted to Yishui County People's Hospital from January 2020 to August 2023 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 36 cases in each group. The control group was treated with neuromuscular electrical stimulation, and the observation group was treated with Biaoben Matching Acupoints acupuncture therapy on this basis. Both groups were treated for 8 weeks. The clinical efficacy, swallowing function, feeding function, quality of life and clinical symptom score were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 94.44%, higher than 77.78%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the Standardized Swallowing Assessment score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the Functional Oral Intake scale score was higher than that of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the scores in all fields of the World Health Organization Quality of Life-BREF scale in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant ( P<0.05 ).After treatment , the scores of drinking water choking, dysphagia and dysarthria in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion Biaoben Matching Acupoints acupuncture therapy combined with neuromuscular electrical stimulation can accelerate the recovery of swallowing function in patients with swallowing dysfunction after stroke, promote the disappearance of disease symptoms and improve the quality of life.
