Effect of Antegrade Elastic Stable Intramedullary Nail Fixation on Perioperative Indexes and Wrist Range of Motion in Patients with Distal Radius Metaphyseal Diaphyseal Junction Fracture
Objective To analyze the effect of anterograde elastic stable intramedullary nail fixation (ESIN-A) in the treatment of distal radius metaphyseal diaphyseal junction (DRMDJ) fractures. Methods Sixty patients with DRMDJ fractures admitted to this hospital from December 2022 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method, with 30 cases in each group. The control group was treated with Kirschner wire fixation, and the observation group was treated with ESIN-A, both groups were observed for 3 months after operation. The perioperative indicators, wrist range of motion, ulnar deviation angle and palmar inclination angle, wrist function recovery and complications were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in operation time and complications between the two groups (P>0.05);the number of fluoroscopy in the observation group was (19.41±2.83) times, which was less than (24.35±3.67) times in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).In the observation group, the range of motion of wrist dorsal extension, range of motion of wrist metacarpal flexion, range of motion of forearm pronation, range of motion of supination, range of motion, ulnar deviation angle and palm inclination angle were (60.59±4.25)°, (66.34±4.69)°, (46.35±3.98)°, (65.29±4.57)°, (20.68±3.79)°, (1358±2.37)°, which were larger than (51.35±3.71)°, (52.67±3.18)°, (33.28±3.09)°, (54.36±3.49)°, (17.49±3.20)°, (10.41±1.59)° in the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).The good recovery rate of wrist joint function in the observation group was 93.33%, which was higher than 73.33% in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion ESIN-A can improve the wrist range of motion and accelerate the recovery of wrist function in patients with DRMDJ fracture without serious complications, which is worthy of clinical application.
