Effect of Ginkgo Biloba Extract Combined with Edaravone Injection on Patients with Cognitive Dysfunction After Cerebral Infarction
Objective To investigate the effect of ginkgo biloba extract combined edaravone injection on cognitive dysfunction in patients with cerebral infarction (CI).Methods A total of 80 patients with post-CI cognitive dysfunction admitted to Qicheng Hospital of Changle County from January 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with edaravone injection, and the observation group was treated with ginkgo biloba extract injection based on the control group. The clinical effect, neurological function, cognitive function, inflammatory factors, hemorheological indexes and incidence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results After treatment, the total effective rate and Montreal cognitive assessment score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, and the National Institutes of Health Stroke scale score was lower than that of the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6, tumor necrosis factor-α and matrix metalloproteinase-9 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Ginkgo biloba extract combined with edaravone injection has an effective effect on cognitive dysfunction after CI, which can effectively reduce inflammatory factor indexes, improve hemorheological indexes, and promote the recovery of neurological and cognitive functions with good safety.
