Effect of Kangfuxin Fluid Enema Combined with Mesalazine on Inflammation and Disease Recurrence in Patients with Ulcerative Colitis
Objective To investigate the effects of Kangfuxin Fluid enema combined with mesalazine on inflammation and disease recurrence in patients with ulcerative colitis (UC).Methods A total of 84 UC patients admitted to the hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group was treated with mesalazine, and the observation group was treated with Kangfuxin Fluid enema on the basis of the control group. The clinical efficacy, inflammatory factors, oxidative stress indexes, adverse reactions and disease recurrence were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.62%, higher than 80.95% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the levels of interleukin-6, C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor-α in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).After treatment, the level of superoxide dismutase in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the levels of lipid peroxide and nitric oxide were lower than those in the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups (P>0.05).After 6 months of follow-up, the recurrence rate of the observation group was 9.52%, lower than 33.33%of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of UC patients with Kangfuxin Fluid enema combined with mesalazine has significant effects, which can effectively reduce the inflammatory response and oxidative stress of patients, reduce the recurrence rate of disease, and is relatively safe.
