Effect of Intermediate Frequency Pulse Therapy Combined with Deep Muscle Rehabilitation Exercise on Lumbar Function in Postoperative Patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation
Objective To explore the effect of intermediate frequency pulse therapy combined with deep muscle rehabilitation exercise on lumbar function in postoperative patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Methods A total of 70 LDH patients admitted to Liangshan County People's Hospital from June 2020 to June 2023 were selected as research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 35 cases in each group. Both groups were given general support treatment. On this basis, the control group was given deep muscle rehabilitation exercise, and the observation group was given intermediate frequency pulse therapy combined with deep muscle rehabilitation exercise. The lumbar function, pain degree, quality of life, lumboabdominal muscle strength and spinal cord nerve function were compared between the two groups. Results After 4 weeks of intervention, the Oswestry Disability Index score and pain Visual Analogue Score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group, the differences between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of intervention, the MOS item short form health survey score of the observation group was(72.36±8.57)points,which was higher than(62.22±11.74)points of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of intervention, the strength of lumbar muscle and abdominal muscle in the observation group were greater than those in the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).After 4 weeks of intervention, the Japanese Orthopaedic Association score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of intermediate frequency pulse therapy combined with deep muscle rehabilitation exercise in the treatment of postoperative LDH patients can help to reduce the degree of pain, improve the function of lumbar spine, lumboabdominal muscle strength and spinal cord nerve function, and improve their quality of life.
