Effectiveness and Safety Analysis of the Combination of Tinidazole Mixture and Formaldehyde Cresol in the Treatment of Dental Pulp Disease
Objective To explore the effectiveness and safety of tinidazole mixture combined with formaldehyde cresol in the treatment of chronic pulpitis. Methods A total of 80 patients with chronic pulpitis admitted to the hospital from May 2020 to June 2022 were selected as the research subjects. They were randomly divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 40 patients in each group. Both groups were treated with root canal therapy. On this basis, the control group was sealed with formaldehyde cresol, while the observation group was sealed with formaldehyde cresol combined with tinidazole mixture. The clinical efficacy, chewing function, inflammatory factors, and occurrence of adverse reactions between two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than 75.00%of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the bite force(143.02±8.97)lbs and masticatory efficiency(88.05±6.14)%of the observation group were higher than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment, the C-reactive protein(9.14±2.67)mg/mL,interleukin(1.01±0.10)ng/mL and the incidence of adverse reactions 5.00%in observation group were lower than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Formalcresol combined with tinidazole mixture has better sealing effect, which can improve masticatory function, reduce inflammation level, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions.
