Effects of Minimally Invasive Locking Compression Plate Internal Fixation Surgery on Shoulder Joint Function and Postoperative Complications in Patients with Proximal Humeral Fractures
Objective To investigate the effect of minimally invasive locking compression plate(LCP)internal fixation surgery in the treatment of proximal humeral fractures. Methods A total of 84 patients with proximal humerus fracture admitted to the Third People's Hospital of Shen County from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group underwent plate-screw internal fixation, and the observation group underwent minimally invasive LCP internal fixation. The perioperative indexes, pain degree, shoulder joint function, quality of life and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The intraoperative blood loss in the observation group was(76.94±8.40)mL,which was less than(130.59±11.25)mL in the control group, the operation time, hospital stay,weight-bearing time and fracture healing time were(86.98±7.20)min,(2.67±0.34)d,(8.53±1.20)weeks and(11.25±2.21)weeks,respectively,which were shorter than(106.27±9.46)min,(4.06±0.53)d,(9.71±1.59)weeks and(14.39±3.57)weeks in the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Three months after surgery, the pain Visual Analogue Score of the observation group was(1.01±0.40)points,which was lower than(1.75±0.63)points of the control group, and the Constant-Murley shoulder function rating scale score was(81.25±7.30)points,which was higher than(70.36±6.21)points of the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);the scores of physical health, mental health, surrounding environment and social relations in the World Health Organization Quality Of Life-BREF scale of the observation group were(76.64±4.21)points,(77.57±4.62)points,(76.64±4.37)points and(78.97±5.29)points,respectively,which were higher than(68.59±3.40)points,(69.48±4.01)points,(67.59±3.83)points,(69.83±4.36)points of the control group, the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of complications in the observation group was 4.76%,which was lower than 19.05%in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Minimally invasive LCP internal fixation surgery has the advantages of less trauma and faster postoperative recovery, which can relieve postoperative pain in patients with proximal humerus fracture, restore their shoulder joint function, improve quality of life, and reduce complications.
