Effect of Abdominal Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application on Abdominal Distension Degree and Gastrointestinal Function Recovery in Patients Undergoing Laparoscopic Gastrointestinal Surgery
Objective To investigate the effect of abdominal traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery.Methods A total of 70 patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery in Heze Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from May 2019 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 35 cases in each group.The control group was treated with routine intervention,and the observation group was treated with abdominal traditional Chinese medicine acupoint application on this basis of the control group.Both groups continued the intervention until 72 h after surgery.The degree of abdominal distension,abdominal pain,nausea and vomiting,gastrointestinal function recovery and serum gastrointestinal hormone levels were compared between the two groups.Results After intervention,the scores of abdominal distension,abdominal pain,nausea and vomiting in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05);the time of bowel sound recovery,anal exhaust and anal defecation in the observation group were(17.44±2.36)h,(20.26±3.79)h and(28.79±4.10)h,respectively,which were shorter than(22.03±3.85)h,(24.31±3.47)h and(36.11±5.02)h in the control group,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P＜0.05);there were no significant differences in the levels of motilin,gastrin,cholecystokinin and somatostatin between the two groups(P＞0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application of abdominal Chinese medicine can alleviate abdominal distension,abdominal pain,nausea and vomiting in patients undergoing laparoscopic gastrointestinal surgery,and accelerate the recovery of gastrointestinal function.
