Effects of Hyperbaric Oxygen Assisted Alprostadil on Gastrocnemius Nerve Threshold,Motor and Sensory Nerve Conduction Velocity in Patients with Diabetes Peripheral Neuropathy
Objective To explore the effect of hyperbaric oxygen assisted alprostadil on gastrocnemius nerve threshold, motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity in patients with diabetes peripheral neuropathy(DPN).Methods A total of 82 patients with DPN admitted to Linyi Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2020 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 41 patients in each group. The control group was treated with alprostadil, while the observation group was treated with a combination of hyperbaric oxygen therapy on the basis of the control group and evaluated 20 days later.Compare the clinical efficacy, gastrocnemius nerve threshold, motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity, and adverse reactions between two groups. Results The total effective rate of treatment in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the nerve threshold, motor and sensory nerve conduction velocity of the gastrocnemius muscle between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05);after treatment, the left and right gastrocnemius nerve thresholds in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the motor and sensory nerve conduction velocities were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in adverse reactions between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Hyperbaric oxygen assisted alprostadil therapy can effectively reduce the gastrocnemius nerve threshold, accelerate nerve conduction velocity, and has high safety in DPN patients.
