Effect of Sansang Huayu Bufei Yishen Prescription Combined with Cough and Asthma Application on Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Score and Lung Function in Elderly Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease of Lung-Kidney Qi Deficiency Type i
Objective To explore the therapeutic effect of Sansang Huayu Bufei Yishen Prescription combined with cough and asthma application on elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) of lung-kidney Qi deficiency type in stable stage. Methods Eighty elderly patients with COPD of lung-kidney Qi deficiency type in stable stage admitted to Jiaozhou Hospital,Dongfang Hospital Affiliated to Tongji University from January 2020 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to digital parity method,with 40 cases in each group. The control group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the observation group was treated with Sansang Huayu Bufei Yishen Prescription combined with cough and asthma application on this basis. The clinical efficacy,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores,lung function of the two groups were compared. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 95.00％,which was higher than 77.50％ of the control group,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). After 2 months of treatment,the scores of cough,fatigue and waist and knee tenderness in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05);the forced expiratory volume in the first second (FEV1) and forced vital capacity (FVC) of the observation group were greater than those in the control group,and FEV1/FVC was higher that in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Sansang Huayu Bufei Yishen Prescription combined with cough and asthma application has a remarkable effect on the treatment of elderly patients with COPD of lung-kidney Qi deficiency type in stable stage,which can improve traditional Chinese medicine syndrome scores and optimize lung function,and is worthy of clinical popularization.
