Objective To explore the effect of acupuncture combined with acupoint massage on speech function and behavioral symptoms in children with autism speech disorders. Methods Fifty children with autism speech disorders admitted to our hospital from October 2022 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects and divided into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 25 cases in each group. The control group received routine training, while the observation group received acupuncture combined with acupoint massage on this basis. Compare the clinical efficacy, speech function and behavioral symptoms between two groups. Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 96.00%,which was higher than 68.00% of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). Before treatment, there were no statistically significant differences in the speech function score and Autism Behavior Checklist (ABC) score between the two groups(P>0.05);after treatment, the expression development quotient (86.38±9.22)% and understanding development quotient (82.28±9.52)%of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, while the language score (11.38±1.88) points, sensory score (10.24±1.26) points, social score (11.24±1.57) points, physical movement score (11.67±1.77) points,self-care score (9.45±1.42) points, and ABC score (61.03±11.83) points were lower than those of the control group, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion Acupuncture combined with acupoint massage is effective in treating children with speech disorders in autism, which can help improve their speech function and behavioral symptoms.
