Effect of Kegel Exercise Combined with Neuromuscular Stimulation on Rehabilitation of Postpartum Patients with Stress Urinary Incontinence
Objective To explore the effect of Kegel exercise combined with neuromuscular stimulation on rehabilitation of postpartum patients with stress urinary incontinence. Methods A total of 96 patients with SUI admitted to our hospital from December 2021 to September 2023 were selected as the research objects, and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received Kegel exercise intervention, and the observation group was combined with neuromuscular stimulation intervention based on the control group. The degree of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor muscle strength, pelvic function and sexual life quality were compared between the two groups. Results After the intervention, the degree of urinary incontinence score of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The pelvic floor muscle strength score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The maximum contractile force, sustained contractile force and coordination force in the observation group were grrater than those in the control group, and the differences between groups were statistically significant (P<0.05). The urinary incontinence function score of the observation group was higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The application of Kegel exercise combined with neuromuscular stimulation in patients with SUI is significant, which can effectively reduce the degree of urinary incontinence, improve pelvic floor muscle strength and pelvic function, and improve the quality of their sexual life..
