Objective To explore the effects of sunshine mentality nursing combined with continuous dynamic follow-up on negative emotions, health behaviors, and cardiovascular adverse events in elderly hypertensive patients. Methods A total of 75 elderly hypertensive patients admitted to Yanzhou District Railway Hospital of Jining Cit from May 2020 to October 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into an observation group (n=37) and a control group (n=38) according to random number table method. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the observation group received sunshine mentality nursing combined with continuous dynamic follow-up intervention. The negative emotions, healthy behaviors, and cardiovascular adverse events between two groups were compared. Results After intervention, the score of Hamilton Anxiety Scale in the observation group was (8.31±1.24) points, and the Hamilton Depression Scale score was (9.23±1.31) points, which were lower than (11.85±1.76) points and (12.64±1.88) points in the control group, the health behavior score of the observation group were higher than those of the control group, the differences were statistically significant between two groups (P<0.05).
