Effect of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules Combined with Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium on symptomatie Improvement and Inflammation in Children with Acute Tonsillitis
Objective To investigate the effect of Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules combined with amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium on symptom improvement and inflammation in children with acute tonsillitis.Methods One hundred and fifty children with acute tonsillitis admitted to Yongdeng County Maternal and Child Health Hospital from May 2022 to June 2024 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 75 cases in each group.The control group was treated with amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium,and the observation group was treated with Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules on the basis of the control group.The clinical efficacy,symptom improvement,inflammation and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 90.67%,which was higher than 70.67%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).The times of fever reduction,throat pain disappearance and tonsil enlargement disappearance in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After 7 days of treatment,the levels of tumor necrosis factor-α,C-reactive protein,procalcitonin and interleukin-6 in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P﹥0.05).Conclusion The treatment of children with acute tonsillitis with Xiao'er Chiqiao Qingre Granules combined with amoxicillin clavulanate potassium can accelerate the improvement of symptoms,reduce inflammation,improve curative effect and have high safety.
