Effect of Jianpi Shengxue Prescription on Iron Deficiency Anemia in Children and Its Influence on Iron Metabolism
Objective To explore the application value of Jianpi Shengxue prescription in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in children.Methods Eighty children with iron deficiency anemia admitted to Taihe Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine Affiliated to Anhui University of Chinese Medicine from October 2022 to April 2024 were selected as the research objects,and were divided into a control group and an observation group according to random number table method,with 40 cases in each group.The control group was treated with oral iron dextran solution,and the observation group was treated with Jianpi Shengxue prescription on the basis of the control group,both groups were treated for 3 courses of treatment.The clinical efficacy,iron metabolism indicators,hemoglobin,red blood cell count and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation group was 97.50%,which was higher than 80.00%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After treatment,the serum iron level in the observation group was(15.78±3.55)μmol/L,the serum ferritin level was(75.42±6.83)μg/L,the hemoglobin level was(131.53±6.73)g/L,the red blood cell count was(5.45±0.53)×1012/L,and the serum ferritin level was(75.42±6.83)μg/L,which were higher than(11.47±2.93)μmol/L,(60.33±7.21)μg/L,(118.72±5.43)g/L,(4.15±0.72)×1012/L in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the total iron binding capacity of the observation group was(63.53±2.14)μmol/L,which was lower than(70.46±1.08)μmol/L of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).There was no significant difference in the incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups(P﹥0.05).Conclusion Jianpi Shengxue formula has remarkable effect in the treatment of iron deficiency anemia in children.It can improve iron metabolism indicators,increase hemoglobin level and red blood cell count in children,and does not increase adverse reactions.
