Influence of Fiberoptic Bronchoscopic Alveolar Lavage Combined with Ambroxol Hydrochloride on the Symptom Improvement Time and Blood Gas Analysis Indicators of Elderly Patients with Severe Pneumonia
Objective To explore the influence of fiberoptic bronchoscopic alveolar lavage combined with ambroxol hydrochloride on the symptom improvement time and blood gas analysis indicators of elderly patients with severe pneumonia. Methods Eighty elderly patients with severe pneumonia who were admitted to Guiyang First People's Hospital from May 2020 to May 2023 were selected as the research objects, they were divided into a control group and an observation group according to the random number table method, with 40 cases in each group.Patients in the control group were treated with ambroxol hydrochloride, while patients in the observation group were given fiberoptic bronchoscopic alveolar lavage treatment on the basis of the treatment in the control group. The symptom improvement time, blood gas analysis indicators, and the occurrence of adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The temperature recovery time, cough disappearance time and pulmonary rale regression time of the observation group were(1.52±0.35)h,(3.42±1.22)h and(1.75±1.15)h,which were shorter than(2.34±0.46)h,(5.34±1.79)h and(2.80±1.67)h of the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After treatment, the partial pressure of arterial carbon dioxide in the patients of the observation group was lower than that in the control group, while the partial pressure of arterial oxygen was higher than that in the control group, and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).The incidence rates of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared, and the difference was not statistically significant(P﹥0.05).Conclusion The combination of fiberoptic bronchoscopic alveolar lavage and ambroxol hydrochloride can effectively shorten the symptom improvement time of elderly patients with severe pneumonia and regulate the blood gas analysis indicators.
