Influence of Bracketless Invisible Appliances on the Periodontal Health and Inflammatory Factors in the Gingival Crevicular Fluid of Patients with Periodontitis Accompanied by Malocclusion
Objective To investigate the effects of bracketless invisible appliances on the periodontal health and inflam-matory factors in gingival crevicular fluid of patients with periodontitis accompanied by malocclusion.Methods Seventy-two patients with periodontitis accompanied by malocclusion who were admitted to Zaozhuang Stomatological Hospital from January 2020 to January 2023 were selected as the research objects,according to the random number table method,they were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 36 cases in each group.The control group was treated with labial fixed appliances,while the observation group was treated with bracketless invisible appliances.The periodontal conditions,inflammatory factors and the occurrence of complications in the two groups were compared.Results Before treatment,the periodontal conditions and inflammatory factors of the two groups were compared,and the differences between the groups were no statistically significant(P﹥0.05);after treatment,the probing depth in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group,and both the gingival index and the plaque index were lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the levels of interleukin-6,C-reactive protein and tumor necrosis factor in the observation group were all lower than those in the control group,and the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the incidence rate of complications in the observation group was 5.56%,which was lower than 25.00%in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Bracketless invisible appliances are more capable of protecting the periodontal health of patients with periodontitis accompanied by malocclusion.They cause a milder inflammatory reaction and have fewer complications.They possess certain application value and can be popularized and applied.
