Effect of Donepezil Hydrochloride Combined with Butylphthalide on Cognitive Function and Degree of Dementia in Patients with Vascular Dementia
Objective To explore the effects of donepezil hydrochloride combined with butylphthalide on cognitive function and degree of dementia in patients with vascular dementia.Methods Selecting 60 patients with vascular dementia admitted to Linyi Mental Health Center from January 2023 to January 2024 as the research subjects,according to the random number table method,they were divided into a control group and an observation group,with 30 cases in each group.The control group was treated with donepezil hydrochloride,while the observation group was treated with combination therapy of butylphthalide on the basis of the control group,both groups were treated for 3 months.Compare the cognitive function,clinical efficacy,degree of dementia,hemorheological indicators and incidence of adverse reactions between two groups.Results The total effective rate of the observation gro up was 93.33%,which was higher than the 73.33%of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05).After treatment,the scores of each dimension in the Mini-Mental State Examination of the observation group were higher than those of the control group,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale scores of both groups were lower than those before treatment,and the observation group was lower than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the levels of whole blood high shear viscosity,whole blood low shear viscosity and plasma viscosity in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,the differences between the groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Comparison of incidence of adverse reactions between two groups,the difference was not statistically significant(P﹥0.05).Conclusion The donepezil hydrochloride combined with butylphthalide in patients with vascular dementia can alleviate the degree of dementia,improve hemorheological indicators,promote cognitive function recovery,and is highly safe.
