Effect of Lateral Rotation Sputum Suction Nursing Combined with Evidence-Based Nursing on Blood Gas Analysis Indicators and Lung Function Indicators in Patients with Severe Pneumonia and Respiratory Failure
Objective To explore the intervention effect of lateral rotation sputum suction nursing combined with evidence-based nursing in patients with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure. Methods A total of 84 patients with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure admitted to Qufu People's Hospital from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the research subjects, divided them into a control group and an observation group using a random number table method, with 42 cases in each group. The control group received routine sputum suction nursing combined with evidence-based nursing, while the observation group received lateral rotation sputum suction nursing combined with evidence-based nursing, both groups were intervened for one week.Compare the blood gas analysis indicators, lung function indicators, disease recovery, and complications between two groups. Results Before the intervention, comparison of blood gas analysis indicators and lung function indicators between two groups, there were no statistically significant difference between groups(P﹥0.05);after one week of intervention, the blood oxygen saturation and arterial partial pressure of oxygen in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, arterial blood carbon dioxide partial pressure was lower than that in the control group, peak expiratory flow rate was faster than that in the control group, and forced vital capacity was greater than that in the control group, the difference between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05);the observation group had a higher daily sputum output than that in the control group, and the relief time for breathing difficulties and lung rales was shorter than that in the control group, the incidence of complications was 7.14%,which was lower than the 23.81%in the control group the difference between groups were statistically significant(P﹤0.05).Conclusion Lateral rotation sputum suction nursing combined with evidence-based nursing can improve blood gas and lung function indicators in patients with severe pneumonia and respiratory failure, and accelerate patient recovery.
