A study on the social history of the ceramic carving workshop of Guangzhou People's Art Society
Guangzhou People's Art Society is an art institution established in Guangzhou in 1952 with the care of the party and government.The ceramic workshop was relocated to Shiwan Town,Foshan,and renamed as the Guangzhou People's Art Society Ceramic Carving Workshop.As a result,Shiwan Town in Foshan,a millennium long southern pottery capital,finally had its first state-owned art ceramic factory,ending the history of Shiwan pottery industry being produced by family or private small workshops.From then on,Shiwan pottery industry entered a new stage of historical development.
