Enhancing the international influence of Chinese university journals in new media:constraints and basic strategies——Taking the application status of 60 Chinese university journals indexed in CSSCI as an example
Promoting Chinese-language university journals to go global is not only a key aspect of disseminating the Chinese voice but also a focal challenge.In the era of the Internet,new media platforms have brought forth fresh opportunities for this mission.Through a survey of 60 CSSCI-indexed university journals'official websites and new media platforms such as WeChat,Weibo,and TikTok,the results indicate a noticeable deficiency in the international positioning awareness,service consciousness,and language modes of Chinese university journals on new media platforms.To enhance the international influence of Chinese university journals,it is imperative to optimize the development strategy of new media platforms,firmly establish an internationalized operational mindset,improve the international competition and service awareness of Chinese journals,break through language barriers as much as possible,innovate and integrate content and forms released on both new and traditional media,fully leverage the advantages of sponsoring institutions,achieve digital transformation and upgrading,and contribute to the global outreach of Chinese university journals.
