学习分析增强社会认知动力促进深度学习的实践

混合式学习已然成为一种新常态,但如何促进学生在线深度学习成为目前教育教学所面临的主要难题。技术工具作为学生个体和学习环境相互作用的中介,是增强社会认知动力、推动个体和集体认知发展的关键。研究基于知识建构理论,将KBDeX、Promisingness Ideas、UCINET等学习分析技术工具应用于《STEM教育理论与实践》课程知识建构实践活动,可视化呈现学生学习社区中的会话内容、会话行为等状态,指导学生基于各种可视化图谱进行总结和反思等以增强其社会认知动力,帮助学生形成个体认知提升的思维方式和参与社会认知的策略方法以促进深度学习。研究发现,知识建构混合式学习实践中学习分析技术工具的应用,能够让学生形成对于社区探究主题的整体性认知、发现有价值的观点及其关联性、明晰自身在社区知识建构中的位置、寻求社区知识进一步值得探究的方向等,并进一步促进了学生观点的持续性改进和认知动力发展,实现深度学习。
Research on the social cognitive dynamics augmented by the learning analytics in knowledge building environment
Blended learning has become a new normal,but how to promote students'online deep learning has become the main problem in the process of learning and teaching.Technology is the key for cognitive development through mediating individual student with learning environment.In this study,the learning analytic tools,specifically KBDeX,Promisingness Ideas,and UCINET,were implemented in knowledge building activities of the course"STEM Learning Theory and Practice".By visualizing the content and behavior of the online discourse,students have the opportunity to summarize and reflect the ongoing activities for socio-cognitive dynamics,which facilitates their cognitive development and learning outcomes.Research shows that knowledge building activities augmented with learning analytics benefit students with high level understanding of the theme,finding promising ideas and connections among them,locating their position,and figuring out the valuable direction in the process of inquiry.Ultimately,socio-cognitive dynamics with learning analytics help students continuously engage in ideas improvement and knowledge innovation.
