When scientific rationality is based on mathematical certainty,the romantic elements are excluded,which poses a risk of humanistic decline for scientific rationality.However,romantic elements such as passion,freedom,and imagination are essential parts of scientific rationality.Recognizing the"romance"aspect of scientific rationality will be beneficial in guiding contemporary digital technology to develop towards goodness and achieve the original intention of technology caring for humanity.If we try to promote the shift of scientific rationality view from result-oriented to process-oriented through propaganda,education,and institutional construction,it may lead to a romantic return to scientific rationality.
