An Zengcai's translation of"the Book of Songs"in 1999,as the first genuine complete Chinese-English parallel translation of"the Book of Songs",was accomplished through the collaboration of Chinese research experts in"the Book of Songs"and English translation experts.This translation emphasizes textual research and adopts a model of mutual learning and complementarity between Chinese and English to construct an open and reasonable interpretation system for"the Book of Songs",aiming to provide western readers with an easily understandable and acceptable version.This translation not only promotes the international dissemination of Chinese culture,but also advances the development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
