Objective To analysis the chemical compositions of the fungus oil of Hexagonia apiaria Pers.:Fr.and to evaluate its DPPH radical scavenging activity. Methods The fungus oil was extracted by continuous reflux infiltration method with ether as the extracting agent, and purified by silica gel column chromatography. The chemical compositions of the fungus oil was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),and to determine the relative content of each component in the oil,the area-based normalization method was applied. The DPPH radical scavenging activity was evaluated by spectrophotometry method. Results By GC-MS analysis,223 peaks were isolated from the fungus oil,and 44 peaks among them were identified, accounting for 45.067%of the fungus oil.The highest content was methyl(E,E)-9,12-octadecadienoate(5.362%),followed by trilinolein(4.147%),and methyl linoleate(4.098%),with relative content exceeding 4%.The results of DPPH radical scavenging assay showed that the value of the half-half scavenging concentration(EC50)was 4.354 0 mg/mL.Conclusion The fungus oil is rich in chemical composition, including 12 alkanes,12 lipid compounds,4 olefins,5 acids,2 alcohols,3 ethers, and other compounds(aldehyde,amine,etc.).The fungus oil also has potent DPPH radical scavenging activity.
