Application of artificially cultivated Rana dybowskii skin in the treatment of skin necrosis in cat
This article reports a case of cat hind limb skin necrosis treated with artificially cultivated Rana dybowskii skin dressing.Due to long-term entanglement of fishing nets on the left hind limb of the affected cat, congestion, edema, and partial skin necrosis were caused. In the early stage of treatment, debridement, infrared light therapy, and systemic antibiotics were performed on the left hind limb of the affected cat to control infection.Subsequently, the infection in the left hind limb of the cat decreased, but there was extensive necrosis and peeling of the skin. The affected limb was immediately treated with fresh and disinfected Rana dybowskii skin dressing for 8 weeks. After one week of treatment with the Rana dybowskii skin, the newly formed granulation tissue showed a bright red color and grew well; After 3 weeks of treatment, the wound of the affected cat contracted rapidly and the epidermis regenerated significantly; After 8 weeks of treatment, the wound basically healed, and most of the hair on the affected area grew again.During the treatment period, the affected cat did not experience any allergic reactions. The results show that the Rana dybowskii skin dressing can promote the growth of granulation tissue and epidermal regeneration in cat skin wounds, and does not affect normal skin function.
