Tyrosine,an aromatic amino acid, finds widespread applications across various industries.Furthermore, numerous derivatives of tyrosine play pivotal roles in the pharmaceutical sector.Consequently, there is significant interest in developing efficient methods for tyrosine production. While traditional sources involved tyrosine extraction from hair hydrolysis, microbial fermentation offers a promising alternative due to its simplicity and minimal environmental impact. However, several challenges must be addressed, including the construction of efficient strains and the reduction of production costs. This paper provides a comprehensive overview of tyrosine production via Escherichia coli, highlighting the current state of research and addressing the prospects for future development in this field.
