Analysis of the wind disturbance rejection performance of the Quad-Plane during transition process from forward flight to hover
Electric Quadrotor Fixed-Wing Hybrid Unmanned Air Vehicle(Quad-Plane)is facing the defect of poor wind disturbance rejection performance during the transition process from forward flight to hover mode, which limits its application. In order to dynamically analyze and enhance its wind disturbance rejection performance during the transition process,a flight simulation system com-bined aerodynamics/flight dynamics/flight control is proposed.By simulation, the transition process is divided into two stages named as.fixed wing deaccelerating stage and quadrotor activating stage, and the response characteristics of the Quad-Plane to the sideward wind disturbance in the transition process is revealed. The simulation.shows that the Quad-Plane has the weakest wind disturbance re-jection performance in second stage.Based on the analysis,-the flight strategy to enhance the wind disturbance rejection performance is proposed.the flight simulation shows that the wind disturbance rejection performance is.significantly improved.
