Determination of 10 toxic and harmful elements in fertilizer by ICP-MS with multiple internal standard correction
The two sample pretreatment methods of direct extraction and microwave digestion were compared. The microwave digestion method had better extraction efficiency.Germanium, indium and bismuth were selected as internal standard elements to correct the matrix effect, and the content of each element was detected by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry. The results showed that the mass-to-number ratios of each element and internal standard elements were linearly related to the concentrations in a certain range, and all the correlation coefficients were larger than 0.999.The results of certified reference materials for fertilizer were within the allowable range of standard values. The spiked recovery of the elements were 86%—118%.This method had low detection limit, high sensitivity and good accuracy, and was especially suitable for the determination of multiple toxic and harmful elements in batch fertilizer samples.
