Exploration and improvement in stuffing methods of bird specimens
Animal specimens play an important role in scientific teaching, research and popularization. On the basis of practical operation, the article summarizes such steps of making a specimen as measuring, peeling, wiping, degreasing, dehydrating, applying, supporting, stuffing, sewing, installing artificial eyes, restoring and storing. Improvement has been made in selecting materials, peeling skin,wiping the skull, applying medicine, stuffing, supporting and restoring.
