Effects of fermentted toona sinensis leaf on laying performance, egg quality and serum biochemical index of laying hens
This study aimed to study the effects of fermentted toona sinensis leaf on laying performance, egg quality and serum biochemical index of laying hens.A total of 320 No.8 Jingfen laying hens(300-day-old)were selected and randomly divid-ed into four groups with eight replicates in each group and ten hens in each replicate. The control group was fed the basal diet, and the experimental groups were supplemented respectively with 1%fermentted toona sinensis leaf,2%fermentted toona sinen-sis leaf, and 3%fermentted toona sinensis leaf. The pre-trial period was seven days, and the formal trial period was 60 days. The results showed that:in terms of the production performance, compared with that of the control group, the egg production rate of the trial group was increased, and the average egg weight was significantly increased(P<0.05);In terms of the egg quality,al-bumen height was increased, and on day 60 of experiment, the egg yolk color was significantly increased(P<0.05);On the se-rum biochemical indicators,on day 60 of experiment, the plasma contents of glucose(GLU)was significantly decreased(P<0.05),and the contents of plasma of albumin(ALB),high density lipoprotein(HDL)were significantly increased(P<0.05),the addition of 3%fermentted toona sinensis leaf could significantly reduce the blood urea nitrogen(BUN)(P<0.05).The fermentted toona sinensis leaf could improve the digestion and absorption of protein, and improve the level of lipid metabolism.
