Research on the Interaction between spatial differences in economic development and educational expenditure
This article is based on data on economic development and education funding investment in 31 provinces and cities in China.Through Gini coefficient, center of gravity model, and Granger causality test,it explores the changes in econom-ic development spatial differences and education funding equity at the national level and eight major economic zones,as well as the interactive relationship between the two.The following conclusions are drawn:(1)The degree of spatial differences in eco-nomic development at the national level is greater than the level of regional differences in education funding, and both have a downward trend, but their performance varies at the regional level;(2)There is a certain degree of synchronicity between the spatial differences in economic development and the changes in educational funding equity, but the magnitude of synchronicity has spatial differences;(3)There is a long-term equilibrium relationship between the spatial differences in economic develop-ment and the fairness of education funding, and there is a causal relationship with different directions of influence depending on the region.
