Influence of Preparation Method on the Catalytic Performance of ZnMnO3/N-CNT Composites for Electrochemical Redox Reaction
ZnMnO3/N-CNT perovskite catalysts were prepared by sol-gel,co-precipitation and hydrothermal methods to study the effects of different preparation methods on the structure and properties of catalytic materials. The microstructure of the catalyst materials was characterized by X-ray diffractometer(XRD),scanning electron microscope(SEM),transmission electron microscope(TEM)and specific surface tester(BET),and electrochemical testing system was used to test the catalyst's catalytic activity for the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)as well as to investigate the catalytic performance of the catalysts in an aluminum-air battery. The test results showed that the onset potential(Eonset)and half-wave potential(E1/2)of the ZnMnO3/N-CNT catalyst prepared by the hydrothermal method were higher than those of the commercial Pt/C catalysts, and had better stability. In addition, the aluminum-air battery prepared using it has a high discharge voltage and releases a total energy of 55.59 MWh·cm-2.
