The Impact of Platform Economy on Industrial Structure Upgrading
Platform economy has become the new engine of economic development,and studying how it affects industrial structure upgrading is of great strategic significance for promoting the high-quality developmentof China's economy.Based on the panel data of 31 provincial administrative units in China from 2013 to 2022,this paper uses fixed effects model and threshold model to study the impact of platform economy on industrial structure upgrading.Platform economy can positively promote the upgrading of China's industrial structure,and the results are still valid after the endogenous and robust tests.The results of the mechanism test show that the platform economy is conducive to reducing the degree of information asymmetry,improving market transaction efficiency and technological innovation,which in turn can promote the upgrading of industrial structure.The influence of platform economy on the upgrading of indus-trial structure is nonlinear and has obvious regional heterogeneity.In areas where the development level of platform economy is relatively backward,this influence is more significant,with platform economy bringing more development dividend.
