The impact that digital economy made on the green technology innovation has already drawn great attention in the academic circles,but the previous research only illustrated the relationship between the two,and paid insufficient attention to the mechanism.Based on perspectives of factor allocation efficiency and environmental regulation efficiency,this study builds up a"Digital economy-Green technol-ogy innovation"mechanism model,and analyzes China's provincial Panel data from 2011 to 2020,which indicates:Both overall level and different aspects of the digital economy show positive impacts on green technology innovation with the results of significant regional differences;The efficiency of factor allocation and environmental regulation play intermediary roles in the relation between"digital economy-green tech-nology innovation";Effecting the factor allocation efficiency,digital economy can prompt green technology innovation while extinct regional heterogeneity have been shown;The intermediary effect of environmental regulation efficiency varies at different layers of the digital economy development.
