In order to explore the advantages of new vortex spinning equipment,the technologi-cal innovation points of the 870 EX vortex spinning machine are introduced from the aspects of digital technology,mechanical and electrical automation,automatic joint device,quality inspec-tion and analysis system,etc.The process advantages are analyzed from three aspects of even-ness,hairiness and weight unevenness level.The selection of raw materials,technological pa-rameters,testing instruments and standards of R 19.7 tex grey flax yarn spun by 870 EX vor-tex spinning machine are described in detail,and the quality of yarn is compared with ring spin-ning and rotor spinning.It is pointed out that the 870 EX vortex spinning machine has advanced technology and the process advantages of high output,high efficiency and high speed;the yarn for spining R 19.7 tex gray flax yarn has less hairiness and good pilling resistance,which can meet the quality requirements of knitting yarn;the spinning speed is more than four times that of rotor spinning and more than 30 times that of ring spinning,the production efficiency is high and the yarn quality is stable.
