在高等植物生长发育及对环境变化的应答中,转录因子通过调控启动子的方式来发挥调节作用。转录因子WRI1的靶基因主要参与脂肪酸合成和糖酵解,因而在植物脂肪酸合成和积累中起着重要的作用。本文阐述了近年来植物WRI1转录因子研究进展,主要包括WRI1在糖酵解和脂肪酸合成信号转导途径中的地位以及已克隆的W R I1基因时空表达特点和编码蛋白的结构特点。本文还就转录因子WRI1提高作物含油量的应用前景在棉花(Gossypium hirsutum L.)中的研究提出展望。
Progress on Transcription Factor WRI1 in Crops
In response to growth and development of higher plant and changes of environment, the transcription factors play a regulatory role through regulating the promoter. Target gene of transcription factor WRI1 mainly involves in the regulation of glycolysis and fatty acid biosynthesis, which plays an important role in oil accumulation. In this review, we summarized the research progress on WRI1 in recent years, mainly focusing on the role of WRI1 in the signal transduction pathway of the glycolysis and fatty acid biosynthesis, the expression profiles of the cloned WRI1 genes and structure characteristics of WRI1 proteins. In this review, the author also prospected the application for improving crop oil content as well as for studying the transcription factor WRI1 in Cotton (Gossypium hirsutum L.).
