Early Selection of Drought Resisting Superior Families of Osteomeles schwerinae in the Bailongjiang River
Osteomeles schwerinae belongs to the shrub of Rosaceae,and Osteomele is a branch of shurb family.The thesis aims at exploring the differences of drought resistance information among different provenances of Osteomeles schwerinae in a dry-hot valley of Bailongjiang River,three seedlings of Osteomeles schwerinae from 23 families in 3 provenances,Wudu District of Longnan City,Wenxian County of Longnan City and Zhouqu County of Gannan Prefecture,were used as the research object.The field cultivation comparative experiment was carried out on the offspring of different natural Osteomeles schwerinae in Liangshui Town of Wudu District.The metabolites and chlorophyll indexes of 23 families were determined and analyzed,and the excellent families with drought resistance were selected by the method of comprehensive evaluation.The results showed that as among the 23 families in the 3 provenances,except a few families with no significant differences,most families had significant or extremely significant differences,and the genetic variation among different families was abundant.The comprehensive ranking of the drought resistance of the 23 families goes as following zq-8>zq-3>wd-3>wd-1>zq-4>wx-2>zq-5>wx-3>zq-12>wx-5>wd-4>wd-5>zq-1>zq-2>wx-1>wx-4>wd-6>zq-6>zq-7>zq-10>zq-9>zq-11>wd-2.The families with excellent drought resistance are mainly from Zhouqu provenance,followed by Wudu provenance,which may be caused by the worse climate environment of the dry and hot valley of the Bailong River in Zhouqu compared with the other two provenances.Among the drought resistance indicators,Chlb,Chl(a+b),Chla,Chl(a/b)and SP have a higher correlation with the value of drought resistance membership function,and it have the greatest impact on the drought resistance of Osteomeles schwerinae.The families of Osteomeles schwerinae with excellent drought resistance are zq-8,zq-3,wd-3,wd-1,zq-4.The five indexes including Chlb,Chl(a+b),Chla,Chl(a/b)and SP have the greatest impact on the drought resistance of Osteomeles schwerinae,which can be used as the key selection index for drought resistance evaluation.
