Gene Expression and Function Analysis of Drought-related Transcription Factor in Wheat
Clarifying the drought resistance characteristics of wheat and studying the effects of drought stress on physiological and biochemical indexes of wheat have guiding significance for improving the yield of dryland wheat. In this study, nine wheat varieties with different drought resistances were used as materials. After 72 h treat-ment with 20%PEG,the expression levels of three transcription factor genes TaNAC2,TabZIP15 and TaSIM and drought resistance indexes of wheat were detected and analyzed. The results showed that the gene expression levels of TaNA C2,TabZIP15 and TaSIM in drought-tolerant varieties were higher than those in drought-sensitive vari-eties.Under drought stress, the expression levels of TaNAC2,TabZIP15 and TaSIM were significantly negatively correlated with MDA content, and significantly positively correlated with relative water content, soluble protein and soluble sugar content. It was speculated that the expression levels of TaNA C2,TabZIP15 and TaSIM could be used as reference indexes for evaluating drought resistance of wheat.
