Comparative Analysis of Crop Variety Protection Legal Systems
This study conducted a comparative analysis of crop variety protection legal systems,with the aim of exploring the differences and similarities in legal frameworks for crop variety protection across different countries and regions.The study delved deep into the examination of China's Plant New Variety Rights Law,the U.S.Plant Variety Protection Act,and the European Plant Variety Rights Law.These analyses revealed distinctions in terms of organizational and management structures,variety registration requirements,farmer rights,and intellectual property rights.Through international case studies,the study underscored the practical application of these legal systems in areas such as agricultural innovation,technology transfer,farmer rights,and seed freedom.Neverthe-less,it also unveiled several challenges,including legal uncertainty,ethical and moral issues,and concerns related to seed freedom.In conclusion,this research outlined future prospects,including trends in the development of crop variety protection legal systems,the importance of international collaboration,and policy recommendations to en-hance crop variety protection and promote agricultural sustainability.This study significantly contributes to a deep-er understanding of crop variety protection legal systems,provides policy recommendations,and plays a pivotal role in ensuring global food security and fostering innovation in agriculture.
