Coordination and Integration of Crop Genetic Resource Protection with In-ternational Intellectual Property Law Framework
This study examines the coordination and integration of crop genetic resource protection with the inter-national intellectual property law framework.Crop genetic resources are crucial for global food security and agri-cultural sustainability, while intellectual property laws play a pivotal role in agricultural innovation. However, the relationship between these two is intricate and fraught with challenges. This study highlights the role of intellectual property law in the conservation of crop genetic resources and looks at the international legal framework for intel-lectual property(including patents, trademarks, copyrights, etc.)and its evolution.Coordinating these aspects is paramount, involving limitations on exceptions to patent laws, the application of geographical indications,intema-tional cooperation, exploration of ethical and moral issues, and public engagement.Future research and policy for-mulation should aim to deepen the study of the international intellectual property law framework, address ethical and moral concerns, promote global collaboration, and ensure the sustainable protection and sharing of crop genet-ic resources.
